Korea Maritime & Ocean University: Signed a business agreement with the Ship & Offshore Plant Research Institute (KRISO)

Our university and the Ship and Offshore Plant Research Institute (KRISO, Director Kim Bugi ) signed a business agreement for the purpose of nurturing excellent professionals in the ship and offshore plant field and developing the shipbuilding and offshore industry .



The business agreement ceremony held at the university headquarters on the 31st of last month was attended by major officials from both institutions, including President Doh Do-hee and Director Bu-gi Kim .



According to the agreement, the two institutions will establish academic – research cooperation for mutual development as well as the overall development of the maritime industry . In particular, they agreed to cooperate with each other in nurturing professional manpower through the development and operation of educational programs , sharing information for the development of the maritime industry , and conducting joint research to solve industry issues .



KRISO Director Kim Boo- gi said , “ As a technological leader in source technology, there is a lot of work to be done . ”



President Doh Doe-hee said, “ Today ’s agreement has great significance due to the continuous population decline and environmental degradation caused by energy consumption . ” said .



On the other hand, offshore and offshore plants are a comprehensive technological field that encompasses the shipbuilding industry, the offshore plant industry, and the related equipment and materials industry . KRISO solves national issues and conducts creative research that leads international standards by securing comprehensive research capabilities such as the development of original technologies in the field of marine and offshore plants, and research on application and practical use .
