Korea Maritime & Ocean University Signs Business Agreement With Ulleung-gun For The Development Of Marine And Fisheries
Our university has entered into a business agreement with Ulleung-gun , Gyeongsangbuk-do ( gun county in South Korea ) for the purpose of developing the overall marine and fisheries sector, including maritime talent development .
The business agreement ceremony held at the university headquarters on the 2nd was attended by key figures from related organizations, including President Do Do-Hee Do, the mayor of Ulleung-gun in South Korea , and Kim Yun-bae, the head of the Ulleungdo and Dokdo Marine Research Base .
According to this agreement, the university supports the education of students from Ulleung-gun , and supports these students’ career experiences and university visits . Ulleung-gun activates the local economy through scientific management of the marine ecosystem of Ulleungdo and Dokdo and fostering marine and fishery resources .
In addition, these institutions cooperate with the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology, which is the consigned operating institution of the Ulleungdo and Dokdo marine research bases, to foster future talent in Ulleung-gun and foster the high value-added maritime and fisheries industry of Ulleungdo and Dokdo .
In addition, ▲ the ship’s call to Ulleungdo ▲ Active cooperation in holding events according to schedule such as Sea Day and Island Day ▲ Cooperation in sharing various collections of materials .
