In addition, the higher scores the university earned in relation to the indicator of ’employer reputation’ in the discipline of sociology reflect the university’s vision of fostering future-oriented creative talent.

The Department of Psychology maintained its top spot among domestic universities in the discipline of anatomy & physiology. In 2021, Korea University became the first university in Korea to establish an independent School of Psychology, on this basis providing a specialized curriculum that promotes multidisciplinary thinking and creative problem-solving while maximizing the strengths of its psychology major. Named among the world’s top 100 in anatomy & physiology for three years running, the university continues to stay ahead of other domestic universities. The College of Medicine has made extensive investments in human resources and facilities in order to foster outstanding medical scientists, and is recognized as a world-class hub of fundamental medicine with its outstanding performance in research publications, in terms of both quality and quantity.

The university’s three disciplines which were ranked among the world’s top 50 were social policy & administration, linguistics, and business & management studies. In addition, the university newly joined the top 100 in the fields of English language and literature, psychology, and environmental sciences.

In the QS World University Rankings released in June 2021, Korea University has taken the top spot not only among domestic private universities for seven years running, but also among private universities in Asia for three consecutive years.
