KU held the 2022 International Students’ Festival (ISF) in Democracy Square at KU Seoul Campus on May 19 (Thursday).

The festival was prepared for international students to introduce the culture, food, study-abroad programs and tourism of their own countries and enhance the understanding of and communication between different cultures. The global exchange was enjoyed during the festival by installing booths for 22 countries and regions, including Europe (Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Finland, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Slovakia and Ireland), Asia (Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam), the Americas (United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia) and Africa (Tunisia).

About 1,000 international students participated in the festival to provide through the booths the information about their own culture, education, food and costumes, and to have the time for understanding the students having different nationalities. In addition, the festival included a talent show where the international students presented their traditional costumes and showed off their talent.

During the festival, the Korea University Buddy Assistants (KUBA) opened a flea market with goods donated by the students, and all the profit from the sales will be donated to UNICEF.
