KTH Ranked 74th Globally by QS World University Rankings
The QS World University Rankings are issued each June, providing students worldwide with an evaluation of leading universities. QS considers nearly 5,000 universities each year.
In 2024 the university ranked 73rd, its highest ever showing in the QS. KTH Deputy President Mikael Lindström says the continued strong showing reinforces KTH’s role as a leading technical university in Europe. “We are glad to be included in the top 100 for the sixth year in a row, given the strong competition from so many great universities,” Lindström says.
“It reflects the excellence of our programs and research, as well as the tremendous work by our faculty, our operational support and of course – our students,” Lindström says.
Each university’s score is a summation of numerous weighted metrics, among them: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio. KTH’s highest scores were awarded for citation rate (86.1), sustainability (94.8), proportion of international faculty (92) and international research network (91.1).
