Kupwara- Tangdhar road reopened for vehicular traffic

Kupwara: According to Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg, Kupwara- Tanghar road was thrown open for traffic this morning.

In a statement, he said, due to the concerted efforts put in place by District Administration and Beacon Authorities, surface connectivity to Sub-division Karnah, was restored by opening the road. The road had remained closed after the recent heavy snowfall.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the Government to provide better connectivity to the people living in the border and far flung areas like Karnah.

Furthermore, he directed the concerned authorities to strictly follow the traffic rules and make sure that drivers use anti-skid chains while playing their vehicles in the area.
