Kurushetra University’s Parvinder rained sixes at Willingdon Pavilion and AMU marches ahead

Aligarh: North Zone Day4, Parvinder a batting star from Kurushetra University gave a glimpse of his genius on the same venue where Kapil Dev, once scored a triple century and rose to become the world cup winning Indian cricket captain. Stylish batter Parvinder today scored 87 not out with astonishing 8 sixes to ensure victory by 9 wickets of Kurushetra University over Jamia Millia Islamiya, who batting first scored 130 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 over at Willingdon Pavilion ground.

Major contributors from JMI were Modashir scoring 32 off 35 balls and bowler Shahid taking 1 wicket for 21 runs. For KUK Sarthak bowled heart out and grabbed 3 wickets for 15 runs.

In another match AMU, keeping its consistent performance of winning, demolished the batting of IIMT University, Merrut by a devastating spell of pacer Pratham who took 4 wickets giving away just 3 runs.

Batting first IIMT could manage only 43 runs and were bowled out in the 15th over. AMU team surpassed the target without losing a wicket. For AMU Hannan top scored with 20 runs not out and for IIMT Sajid contributed 19 runs.

At athletics ground GBU (Greater Noida) defeated SKUAST (Jammu) by 6 wickets and the match which was played at 10+2 ground, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, won the match against DAV University, Jalandar , by convincing margin of 83 runs . LPU Manveer played a scintillating inning of 73 runs facing just 47 balls and pacer Abrar taking 4 wickets for 25 runs.
