Kusht Mukt Abhiyan observed at DH Ramban

RAMBAN : To mark the Gandhi Jayanti -the Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the District Hospital Ramban launched Kusht Mukt Abhiyan and took a cleanliness pledge.

Medical Superintendent, Dr Hamid Zargar administered the pledge to the staff of the hospital to maintain cleanliness in and around their surroundings.

Dy. Chief Medical Officer Dr.Mohammed Iqbal Bhat; Dr.Mirzada Bilal; Dr.Rafi and Leprosy & Malaria Inspector, Dharampal educated the patients and their attendants about the symptoms, causes and treatment of leprosy.

They said that leprosy is not contagious, has a long incubation period and its patients should not be loathed or hated. They stressed on its early treatment as it is curable.
