KVB donates Rs. 2.25 cr. for construction of classroom block under CSR initiative

 

Chennai: The newly constructed class room block of the Municipal Higher Secondary School, Karur funded by Karur Vysya Bank under its CSR initiatives, was inaugurated by Tmt. S. Malarvizhi, I.A.S., Karur District Collector on 26th February 2021 (Friday).

Karur Vysya Bank has donated a sum of Rs. 2.25 crores from its Corporate Social Responsibility funds towards construction of the classroom block consisting of 16 classrooms and 2 laboratories. Rotary Club of Karur Texcity collaborated with the Bank in this project.

Karur Vysya Bank actively supports several social, educational and health related initiatives within Karur which is the place where the bank commenced business 105 years ago. KVB is proud to be associated with the project, which will support the educational aspirations of several thousands of students in the years to come.

Tmt. K.M. Sudha, Commissioner, Karur Municipality, Mr. M.K. Venkatesan and Mr. R. Ramkumar, Directors of Karur Vysya Bank, Rtn. A.J. Suriyanarayna, Project Director of the classroom construction project on behalf of Rotary Club of Karur Texcity and others participated in the event.
