RAMBAN : The Jammu & Kashmir Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) held an awareness camp at Government ITI Banihal in Ramban today. The aim of the camp was to educate trainees about self-employment schemes implemented by KVIB in the district.

During the event, District Officer, Mohd Ishaq Gattu provided detailed information on the schemes and encouraged unemployed youth and entrepreneurs to take advantage of government-sponsored programs such as Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP).

He explained that these schemes aim to reduce migration from rural to urban areas by providing opportunities for self-employment. He also informed attendees that both schemes could be applied for online via their smartphones on the PMEGP and JKREGP websites.
