KVK Budgam starts training programmes for rural youth of the district

BUDGAM : The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Budgam today kick started two trainings on ‘Dingri Mushroom Cultivation’ and ‘Current Prospects in Entrepreneurship Development, using Agriculture and Allied Sciences’ for Rural Youth of District Budgam under Skill Training for Rural Youth (STRY) Scheme.

These programmes are being sponsored by SAMETI (DOE) SKUAST-K and MANAGE Hyderabad.

56 Rural Youth from different areas of the District participated in these trainings.

The Inaugural function started with a welcome address by Dr. Vaseem Yousuf (SMS Plant Protection) KVK Budgam.

Sr. Scientist & Head, Bilal Ahmad Lone addressed the participants and highlighted the importance of skill development in agriculture and allied sectors and its role in generating employment among Rural Youth.

The Inaugural function was attended by Scientists/Technical staff of the Kendra.

At the end, vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Bhinish Shakeel (SMS Home Science) KVK Budgam.
