KVK Kupwara launches 7 days training programme for Beekeepers

 

KUPWARA : The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kupwara today launched a seven days scientific training programme for Bee keepers at D. C Office, here.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din was chief guest on the occasion. Director Extension, SKUAST-Kashmir, Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi was also present at the occasion.

It was informed that the seven days training programme is aimed at to provide thorough awareness and impart necessary training to 25 candidates belonging to different areas of Kupwara district so that they can earn their livelihood.

Addressing the function, the DC appreciated the KVK for organising the training programme for Beekeepers. He directed the concerned officers to ensure holistic training of the participants to enable them to earn their livelihood.

The DC asked the participants to take advantage of the Seven days training programme by learning all the necessary skills required for the Bee keeping profession.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director Extension congratulated the participants for adopting Bee keeping as their profession. He assured all possible support to the participants.

Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad; KVK Head, Dr. Sajad Mohiddin, scientists of KVK, besides, Bee keeper aspirants attended the function.
