Kyushu University Announces Commencement for Academic Year 2022
The Kyushu University undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies for academic year 2022 will be held as follows.
Please note that ceremony details may change as the situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop.
(1) Information on arrival time and transportation to Ito Campus will be provided separately.
(2) Visitors will be required to take a temperature and disinfect their hands at the reception desk.
(3) Seats will be provided at the entrance on the day of the event.
(4) Please attend the ceremony in a sensible manner.
(5) After the degree conferment ceremony, there will be a conferment ceremony (celebration event, etc.) at each faculty.
(6) The ceremony will be streamed LIVE on YouTube.
※ The parents and other accompanying persons will not be allowed to enter Shiiki Hall. A separate venue will be set up in the Center’s Building No. 2 to broadcast the ceremony. However, please note that the number of seats is limited and there may be standing room only.
※ Please be advised that the roads in and around the campus are expected to be congested, so please advise your companions to use public transportation.
Requests to graduating students participating in the Commencement
○ It is not necessary to wear masks, etc. throughout the entire Commencement.
However, some people may wish to wear masks, etc. for various reasons, so please be careful not to force them to put on and take off their masks, etc.
○ Those who have unusual symptoms, such as a sore throat or cough, as well as fever, should refrain from participating in the Commencement.
○ In past years, there have been scenes of current students welcoming graduates and alumni near the venue (outdoors) before and after the commencement. If you are unable to stand at a distance from others and wish to engage in conversation with them, please wear a mask.
