Kyushu University Energizes 2024 with Energy Week Event

Kyushu University Energy Week 2024 was held for five days from Monday, January 29, to Friday, February 2, 2024.

The eighth annual Energy Week featured a series of lectures and seminars on the theme of “Energy Intelligence Beyond Borders: Driving Green Transformation with Future Energy Technology Forecasting and Artificial Intelligence,” focusing on trends in green transition enabled by AI, the metaverse, and future technology forecasting. In addition to hosting lectures by renowned speakers from Japan and abroad, symposiums and workshops were held by Kyushu University’s International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research (I²CNER), the Research Center for Hydrogen Industrial Use and Storage (HYDROGENIUS), the Kyushu Area Renewable Energy Cooperation Committee, and the Institute of Systems, Information Technologies and Nanotechnologies (ISIT), along with research presentations by early-career researchers and doctoral students.

This year’s Energy Week was a resounding success, with 1,300 participants from universities, research institutions, industry and government officials, and others from Japan and abroad.
