Kyushu University hosts JTW 29th class Closing Ceremony on July 26th
Kyushu University held the Closing Ceremony for the Japan in Today’s World (JTW) program on July 26, 2023, at the Inamori Center at Ito Campus. The JTW program offers a unique opportunity for international students to deepen their understanding of Japan through courses on Japanese society, culture, and history in English, as well as through the Japanese language classes and study trips. The program also provides students with the chance to learn about daily life in Japan through interaction with Japanese host families and Kyushu University students, thus contributing to the internationalization of the local community.
This semester, 60 students from 37 universities in 16 countries/regions participated in the JTW program. At the closing ceremony, each JTW student who completed the one semester or 10-month program received a certificate of participation from Professor Ishibashi, President of Kyushu University.
The Closing Ceremony was attended not only by the JTW students and course coordinators, but also by professors from the International Student Center, host families, Kyushu University students who supported the JTW students as tutors, and family and friends of the JTW students. It was a joyous celebration of the completion of the program and the students’ achievement.
