‘LAMHE-2022’: Inter-University Techno-Cultural Fest

Dehradun: Lamhe, 2022 the annual Techno-Cultural Fest of IMS Unison University (IUU) opened with grandiose and pomp on November25, 2022.The event has reached to its greater heights due to the untiring efforts of the organizing team and enthusiastic students. Students from more than 40 universities and colleges from across the country participated in different departmental events of IUU.The first day was filled with unadulterated thrills and fun comprising music, art, quizzes, fashion, rock bands and humor.

The inaugural ceremony was held at 10 a.m. in the university campus. It opened with a debriefing session by the DeanStudent Welfare (DSW), Dr. Vinay Rana. He welcomed students from other universities, he expressed his pleasure at the overwhelming participation from other universities in the fest and advised them to indulge themselves in two days of fun and creativity.
This was followed by the welcome address by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor Brigadier Dr. M. Srinivasan. In his inaugural speech, he acknowledged the enthusiasm of the students and participants in regards to taking part in the events.
He called attention to the variety of activities waiting to be explored in the next two days and urged the students to showcase their talent. He asked them to nurture their talent in due course of time, without any inhibitions and he guaranteed the institution’s willingness to play host in ensuring the comfort of the student.The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the organizers for developing a meticulous plan and unrolling it to be accomplished in the course of the next 48 hours.
The Guest of Honor for the inaugural ceremony was Rural Seasoned Entrepreneur, Mr. Manoj Sharma. Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Ravikesh Srivastava, Deans and Heads of all schools, Dean of Examination Dr. Amit Adlakha, Chief Proctor Dr. Sushil Rai, faculty and staff members also attended the event.
The first day of Lamhe saw various events like National Business Plan, Mock Stock,and ‘360 Degree – The Best Manager’ by the School of Management. The School of Law conducted Vaad Vivad (Legal Debate), Legal Camera and Constitution Law Day Quiz while School of Hospitality Management conducted fun events like Master Chef and Best out of Waste. The School of Liberal Arts conducted Creative Writing and a Quiz which kept the festive spirit going in the students.

The School of Media and Communication Design commenced their National Media Fest (2-day event) with the following events; Documentary Making, Short Film Making, News Writing Competition, Photography Competition.Media enthusiasts and students from 40 prestigious universities around the nation sent in their submissions for the highly-awaited competitions – Documentary Making and Short Film Making.

The fun events of the day were Treasure Trove and Roadies along with main stage events such as Sur Sangam (solo and duet singing), War of Bands – Band Combat, and Grandeur – The Fashion Show. Fashion shows are creative, aesthetically pleasing, and forward thinking; in line with this thinking the students donned their best and walked down the ramp as the audience cheered with enthusiasm. Overall, the first day event was successful with massive participation from the students from all over India.
