Lancaster University: Nature Communications showcases Lancaster physics paper as world leading

For the Editors’ Highlights pages, Nature Communications has selected a Lancaster Physics article as among the 50 best papers of recently published research in the world.

The paper by Andrew Guthrie, Sergey Kafanov, Theo Noble, Yuri Pashkin, George Pickett and Viktor Tsepelin from the Department of Physics, in collaboration with scientists from Moscow State University, used tiny mechanical resonators to detect individual quantum vortices in superfluid helium.

Nature Communications website states: “Our editors select a small number of articles recently published in Nature Communications that they believe are particularly interesting or important.

“The aim is to provide a convenient snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas at Nature Communications.”
