Langat Singh College Pays Tribute to Acharya Kriplani and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad!

 

In a solemn ceremony filled with reverence and respect, Langat Singh College commemorated the birth anniversaries of two stalwarts of India’s freedom struggle and educational landscape – Acharya Kriplani and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Acharya Kriplani, a luminary in the fight for independence and a revered former faculty member of Langat Singh College (1912-17)  was remembered for his dedication to the cause of freedom and his profound impact on the students he taught. Bharat Ratna Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India, was also honored for his visionary contributions to the education system of the nation and his relentless efforts in promoting secularism and inclusivity in the realm of learning.

Prof. Om Prakash Roy, the Principal of Langat Singh College, expressed his gratitude for the invaluable contributions of Acharya Kriplani and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, emphasizing the need to uphold their ideals and teachings in the pursuit of excellence and social progress.

Principal Prof. Roy said that as the college community paid homage to these iconic figures, college  also reaffirmed it’s commitment to promoting the values of patriotism, education, and unity that both Acharya Kriplani and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad exemplified throughout their lives.

Prof Roy further said, by honoring the memories of these extraordinary individuals, Langat Singh College not only celebrated their extraordinary lives but also sought to inspire the current generation to emulate their courage, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of society. He said college takes immense pride being associated with Acharya Kriplani, a distinguished figure in Indian history.

Langat Singh College stands as a proud witness and active participant in the annals of the Indian freedom struggle, with a legacy that intertwines with the luminaries of that era. From the revered visit by Mahatma Gandhi to the esteemed presence of distinguished educators and freedom fighters like Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Acharya Kriplani, and Rashtrakavi Dinkar, the college’s history is a tapestry of patriotism and intellectual fervor, Principal Prof. Roy concluded.

The tribute ceremony concluded with a vow to carry forward the torch of knowledge and enlightenment that Acharya Kriplani and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad lit, ensuring that their legacies continue to illuminate the path of progress for generations to come. Prof. SR Chaturvedi, coordinator, IQAC delivered vote of thanks.
