Launch of New SSGSA Website and Opening of Application Portal

Aligarh : The Sir Syed Global Scholar Award (SSGSA) launched its revamped website recently, during a special Website Launch Event. The Vice Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Prof Tariq Mansoor, was the Chief Guest at the event, and inaugurated the website in the presence of more than 80 other guests and attendees. The event was also live-streamed on Facebook.

The Vice Chancellor Prof Mansoor in his address appreciated AMU Alumni for their continued support towards the growth of the university.

The event began with welcome address by the chairperson of SSGSA, who gave an overview on the upgrades made to the website and associated portals since the launch of the very first website.

There was also a short presentation by the SSGSA Web Team Lead, Mr Prajjwal Nijhara, in which he mentioned the features of the website, and highlighted the fact that this website is one of AMU’s first ever open-source projects.

After the website inauguration, a brief overview of the application process was given by the SSGSA Outreach Team Lead, Mr Mohd Toaha Umar.

Mr Syed Ali Rizvi, one of the cofounders of SSGSA, and member of the Executive Committee, delivered a vote of thanks to conclude the event.

At the end of the event, the application portal for the 2022-23 applications was opened to accept applications.
