Law Minister applauds tremendous development made by Indian Judiciary and its role in dispensing justice since introduction of digital system

Union Minister for Law & Justice, Kiren Rijiu has applauded the tremendous development made by the Indian Judiciary and its role in dispensing justice since the introduction of a digital system. He was inaugurating the National Seminar on ‘Environment and Sustainable Development-Role of Judiciary’ and ‘Digitization of Indian Judiciary-Its Impact in Dispensation of Justice’ at Kaziranga Assam on Saturday. The Minister said that the role of the Judiciary is extremely crucial for sustainable development of our nation.

The Union Minister said to achieve the visions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for an environmentally conscious lifestyle, rules should be such that they facilitate the achievement of these goals.

Speaking on the occasion, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma said “Article 48 and Article 48 (A) incorporates protection of nature and conservation of country’s natural resources.

The national Seminar was organised by the Gauhati High Court in collaboration with the Government of Assam.
