Leadup Universe creates a stir with its CXO summit in India’s IT capital, Bengaluru
Bengaluru: Leadup Universe, Asia’s Leading career acceleration organization, hosted a powerful summit featuring academia, CXOs, and emerging CXOs discussing the capabilities, challenges, and opportunities for the “New Age CXO” in Bangalore International Center, Bengaluru.. Nearly 80 CXOs and aspiring CXO leaders attended the summit. Some prominent personalities included Krish Shankar (Group Head HR, Infosys), Dr. R K Premarajan Prof XLRI, Raj Narayan (Former CHRO, Titan), Dr. NS Rajan (Former Group CHRO, Tata Sons, Member of the board of governors XLRI), Vijay Iyer (Managing Director, ValueBridge Capital), Suvro Raychaudhuri (Director HR – Asia Pacific Soln, CGI), Ranjith KP (Director HR, Palo Alto Networks), Prerna W (Chief Executive Officer, Action for India) and Aparna C (Vice President – HR, Akna Medical Pvt Ltd) among others.

Dr. R.K. Premarajan, professor at XLRI Jamshedpur, highlighted how academic institutions around the world are looking at helping bridge the gap in CXO learning. The session was moderated by Rashmi Mandloi, Co-founder of Leadup Universe.
Commenting on the success of the campaign, Rashmi Mandloi, Co-founder of Leadup Universe, shared that, “We were overjoyed by the reception we received from the recent summit in Bengaluru. We established Leadup Universe at the beginning of 2021 because Mayank Verma (CEO & Co-founder, Leadup Universe) and I were acutely aware that professionals were running into a glass ceiling, becoming vulnerable, and looking for solutions in sporadic and unorganised ways, which led to mental and emotional exhaustion as well as a compromised career path. Our goal was to resolve this issue, and we are proud of how well this journey has gone so far. Through these summits, senior executives are being approached and assisted in delivering a perspective on the “New World of Work.”
Raj Narayan, Ex-CHRO Titan and XLRI Bangalore alumni chapter president, also shared that, “These summits serve as a tremendous melting pot of ideas, catching the demands of talent and markets, and they actively support the creation of an ecosystem that is advantageous to all.”
After the discussion on the context, the larger group of aspiring CXO leaders and the CXOs had a meaningful dialogue on: building inclusive organisations with blurred geographical boundaries; including gig talent in the larger organization’s plan; balancing performance, people, and technology while focusing on growth.
The Batch 1 cohort of the XLRI PGDM (HRM) Program then shared their thoughts on the need to reinvest as leaders and how the programme has helped them advance their careers to the C-Suite.
Mayank Verma, CEO & Co-founder at Leadup Universe and Krish Shankar, CHRO of Infosys, had a great discussion at the closing session about his most recent book, Catalyze. The discussion was around the playbook for the new-age CXO on tapping into people’s potential in the changing work landscape. They also discussed frameworks that organisations can use to build psychological safety for their employees.
Leadup Universe also launched Asia’s first private membership network for aspiring CXOs at the summit. The event was followed by a networking lunch.
