LeapScholar and Case Western Reserve University announce partnership; introduce new pathway program for Indian students
LeapScholar, part of Leap, announced its latest partnership with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), one of the leading private research universities in the USA. The firm through its array of global university collaborations has been on a mission to make world-class education more accessible and affordable for Indian students. With this collaboration as a part of Leap Advantage, LeapScholar brings Case School of Engineering’s popular program MS in Computer Science, to Indian students aspiring to earn a U.S. degree in a hybrid format, at a much lower cost.
Case Western Reserve University, one of the top 50 universities in the USA, was ranked 18th worldwide for its contributions to Innovation by the Nature Index. The program will be delivered to students through a part of the course in India and the rest on-campus in Cleveland, Ohio. This hybrid format will effectively reduce the total cost of the program by almost 40% (approximately USD 39,996 or INR 32 lakhs savings depending on currency conversion). The requirement of GRE/GMAT scores and English proficiency test scores has been waived off as a part of the eligibility criteria for the program. Being a STEM degree, students will qualify for a 3-year post-study work visa upon graduation, just like full-time international students.
Commenting on the collaboration with CWRU, Vaibhav Singh, Co-Founder, Leap said, “Frequent university collaborations are the cornerstone of our mission to enable more access to global education. With the demand for STEM programs rising, the latest partnership with CWRU will bring their popular engineering program to Indian students in a hybrid format, and at a much lower cost. We believe this will drive incremental financial and academic value for aspirants looking to pursue their higher education in the US.”
“Case Western Reserve University and Leap have combined forces to offer an innovative hybrid learning platform for earning a professional master’s degree in the U.S. while residing in India during the first year. This partnership leverages the unique assets of the graduate engineering programs in both institutions to deliver high-quality education and strengthens the CWRU presence in India. We are delighted to partner with Leap in this innovative new model” said Venkataramanan “Ragu” Balakrishnan, the Charles H. Phipps Dean of the Case School of Engineering.
Fall session starts in August 2023 and applications are now open for Indian students. The last date to apply is 7th August, 2023.
