Learning Outside School: Let Children Experience Life At KidZania Mumbai This Children’s Day

Mumbai: As we all know, Children’s Day across the country is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on November 14. Whether it is celebrated out of Chacha Nehru’s love for children or it is just another reason to celebrate children, it is a day that deserves a celebration. It should be a celebration to renew our commitment to the welfare of children and teach them to live by their Chacha Nehru’s standards and example. It should be a celebration to provide our children with a safe and loving environment in which to grow as well as giving them ample and equal opportunities through which they can take great strides and contribute to the progress of the nation.

Jawaharlal Nehru has said, “As they grow up, unfortunately, their natural freedom is often eclipsed by teaching and behavior of elders. At school, they learn many things, which are no doubt useful, but they gradually forget that essential thing to be human and kind, playful and make life richer for ourselves and others.” In order to do just that and promote learning outside school, KidZania began operations in Mumbai. Through ultra-realistic role-play, children can learn about different careers, the inner-workings of a city and the concept of managing money. Each experience is designed to empower kids, giving them the confidence to be their best selves, and inspiration to be great global citizens. KidZania has been able to offer children a playground where they learn life-skills that no classroom can teach.

This interactive kids’ city combines inspiration, fun and learning through realistic role-play for children. Kids independently explore an 80,000-squared foot kid-sized city with over 100 exciting careers that they can try. Children can enjoy the art of painting walls while learning and applying colour theory and texturing techniques at the House Painting activity. Children can compete with their parents in an aptitude test at the Aptitude and Learning Centre. Kids can don the hat of a nutritionist while parents can get fit at the Wellness Hub. At the TV Studio, kids can play the role of judge, host, and become an assistant editor and assistant cameraman and learn what goes into making a reality TV show. As a children’s week special, they are running a special Know Your Child Challenge where children and parents are quizzed about the child’s likes, dislikes, aims and aspirations which serves as a fun and interactive way to get to know your child. So, to celebrate these young minds, KidZania is also offering a special 14% off this Children’s Week.

So, this Children’s Week, fuel children’s natural desire to create, explore and collaborate while spending some quality ‘unplugged’ time with them at one of the most progressive family entertainment concepts in the world today, and remember Nehruji’s words, “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow.”
