Lecture held on translation, transliteration and transformation of Unani medicine texts

ALIGARH : The Department of Moalejat, Ajumal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a guest lecture by Prof. Ashhar Qadeer, Department of Kulliyat on “Translation, transliteration and transformation of the Unani medical texts with supplementation of relevant advanced tools and techniques”.

Prof Qadeer stated that most of the texts of Unani Medicine are available in Arabic language and it is important to learn and understand Arabic language to understand these texts and make better use of them in their studies. He also stressed the importance of using Mantiq and Falsafa (Logic and Philosophy) for better understanding of Unani medicine texts and applying them in researches.

Earlier, Prof Badrudduja Khan, Chairman, Department of Moalejat welcomed the guest speaker and introduced him to audience.

Senior faculty members, along with PG scholars attended the lecture.

Prof. Tabassum Latafat extended a vote of thanks.
