Lecture on Drug Discovery and Development

Aligarh : Dr Ayesha Rahman Ahmed (Faculty member, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Washington State University, USA) delineated aspects of drug development covering both pre-clinical and para-clinical phases.

She was delivering a guest lecture on the topic ‘Overview of Drug Discovery and Development in United States’ at the Department of Pharmacology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

“Students also engaged in an interactive session with the speaker to get their queries answered on experiences in clinical research and other topics”, said Prof Waseem Rizvi (Chairman, Department of Pharmacology).
