Lecture on writing a good CV

ALIGARH  : Prof. Mirza Asmer Beg, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University delved into the details of writing a good CV at a lecture organized by the Department of Political Science on “How to write a good CV: Useful Tips”.

He said CV writing is a critical aspect of one’s career and students should pay special attention to writing an impressive CV that can help them attain a good career.

In his lecture, Mr. Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General) stressed the need for developing skills that are required to make a successful career. He pointed out the special traits that AMU students lack when going to face a job interview. He said students should have clarity of purpose and make focused preparation to achieve their goals.

Dr. Muzammil Mushtaq, Assistant TPO (General) and Assistant Professor, Department of Library and Information Science underscored the rubrics of a good CV and how students should have a different set of CVs for different career opportunities.

In his concluding remarks, Prof. Iqbalur Rehman, Chairman of the department underscored the importance of a good CV for achieving a targeted career. He said students should be very particular about developing good communication skills and personality development.
