Lecture with training in pain management held at JNMC

ALIGARH  : The Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a lecture with hands-on training on “Peripheral nerves and fascia interventions for pain management in broken bones” by Dr Anamika Yadav, Consultant, Pain Medicine and Anaesthesiology, CK Birla Hospital, Gurugram.

Dr Yadav talked on the role of various minimally invasive interventional techniques in the management of pain in patients with long bone fractures especially fracture of femur, pelvis and shoulder girdle and highlighted the fact that patients with these fractures not only suffer from severe degree of pain but this can also lead to serious cardiovascular co-morbidity if not managed adequately.

She demonstrated USG guided interventions in patients suffering from pain due to fractures of femur and shoulder girdle.

Earlier, Prof Hammad Usmani, Chairperson, Department of Anaesthesiology, welcomed the guest speaker and thanked the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Prof Veena Maheshwari for sparing time to attend the lecture.
