Legal awareness camp held

 

ALIGARH  : The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre (AMUMC), Kerala organized a Legal Awareness Camp in Tribal Areas, in collaboration with the District Legal Service Authority Wayanad in Wayanad district, involving the student members of Legal Aid Clinic, AMUMC, under the supervision of the District Judge and Secretary, DLSA.

The programme was held under the supervision of the Chairperson, Legal Aid Cell, Dr. Naseema P.K., with the support of the teacher Incharges, Dr. Shaista Nasreen and Dr. Aamir Yousef Waghey. Mohsin Chauhan, the Student Incharge of the program, coordinated the visit.

The visiting students interacted with the high school students of tribal areas in groups and counseled them about the opportunities for higher studies and career plans. They also spread awareness regarding various laws, rights and duties given in our constitution.

A total of 32 students actively participated in this outreach programme.
