LETI: LETI to Become Part of International Summer University

The Russian federal project “Summer University,” operated by Pskov State University and coordinated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, will start with 14 participating universities this year. The project’s goal is to engage international students in the Russian scientific and educational sphere and create sustainable international student communities based on leading Russian universities.

About 700 young people can become participants of the “Summer University” from July 10 till July 24: students of 3-4 years of study from 9 countries and 25 school students from Belarus. They will be offered to take 25 programs. These include Biology, Biomedicine Engineering, “Economics, Agriculture, Law, Journalism, Philology, Design, Technology of Light Industry, Management, Tourism and Service, IT-Business. Experts selected areas according to a number of principles, including orientation to advanced scientific trends.

“This is an additional opportunity for us to attract international students to Russia, give more potential students from other countries a chance to experience educational programs in Russia by visiting our seasonal schools in frontier areas of science and technology and to show the beautiful city of St. Petersburg and its attractions.”

In addition to studies, students will enjoy excursions, sports activities, hobby groups, as well as thematic meetings, forums, and workshops.
