LG Govt laying special focus on Phase III of Back to Village programme in J&K: Advisor Khan
Srinagar: “The government led by Lieutenant Governor is laying special focus on third phase of Back to Village programme beginning on 2nd of October 2020 for a period of 10 days”, asserted Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, in a statement to media regarding B2V3 here today.
“This phase will be a ‘game-changer’ towards growth and development of Jammu and Kashmir and will set an example how the pace of development can be percolated successfully to every nook and corner of the UT”, Advisor maintained.
Advisor Khan said that during B2V phase 1 senior officers visited each Panchayat, stayed there and interacted with the people to identify and assess the issues and concerns of villages for redressal. They had also detailed evaluation about the reach of various welfare and development related schemes to rural parts of the UT so that the government working could further be accelerated and streamlined.
He further stated that B2V phase 2 was launched as a follow up to evaluate the works done by various departments after phase I of the programme besides data collection and identification of priority areas. He said that in Phase 3 of the same programme, a 3 week Pre-B2V (Phase 3) Jan Abhiyan programme is being organised for awareness of people in each and every village wherein through direct interaction with people their demands shall be ascertained by the designated officers who shall be staying in the village for 3 days and 2 nights.
Referring to success of previous phases of B2V programme, Advisor made a mention of the appreciation showered by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in his speeches twice, once in ‘Man-ki-Baat’ Programme and another on the occasion of 15th August.
