Life Time Achievement Award to Prof. K.C Singhal

Aligarh : Prof. KC Singhal, former Head of the Department of Pharmacology at JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, and Honorary Consultant at the WHO Collaborating Centre for International Drug Monitoring, Sweden was honored with the prestigious ‘Life Time Achievement Award.’ The award, recognizing Prof. Singhal’s extensive contributions as a teacher and researcher, was presented during the Inaugural Program of the International Conference on Alternatives to Animal Experiments and the 6th Annual Meeting of the Society for Alternatives to Animal Experiments (SAAE-I AC 6).

The award ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohammad Gulrez (Vice Chancellor, AMU), Prof. Veena Maheshwari (Dean, Faculty of Medicine, JNMC, AMU), and Prof. Y. K. Gupta (President, SAAE-I & President AIIMS, Jammu), highlighted Prof. Singhal’s impact on the field of Pharmacology and his role in establishing the Department of Pharmacology during its early stages of development.

During the ceremony, Prof. Syed Ziaur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacology, read citation detailing Prof. Singhal’s achievements. Additionally, it was announced that the Department of Pharmacology has instituted the ‘Prof. K. C. Singhal Gold Medal’ for the topper of the M.D. Pharmacology examination, contributed by Dr. Sumeet Singhal.
