Literacy function organized at Ganderbal

Ganderbal: Karwan-e-Adab Dab Ganderbal in collaboration with District Information Centre Ganderbal today organised a gracious literary function at Town Hall, here.

The function was presided over by the District Information Officer Ganderbal, Reyaz Ahmad Fazli. While as CEO Municipal Council Ganderbal Naveed Aijaz, renowned poet Syed Abbas Jawhar and General Secretary AMK, Shabnum Tilgami were also present on the occasion.

Yearly magazine of Karwan-e-Adab ‘Manzul’ was released during the function. Imtiyaz Anjum read a paper on the book.

Later Renowned poet, critic and writer Syed Akhtar Hussain Mansoor was appreciated and rewarded after being nominated for Sahitya Akademi Bal puraskar-2020. He is the first writer from Ganderbal district who has been selected for this award.

In the last session a Mushiara was conducted in which poets from different parts of the valley presented their poems.

The poets who participated in the mushaira include Syed Abbas Jawhar, S Akhtar Mansoor, Mohiudin Shilzari, Hilal Talash, Mir Ashraf, Hamid Ishfaq, Manzoor Rayees, S Mohmmad Madni, Sabiq Ali Sabiq, Shokat Shahbaz, Majid Rabtari, Saleem Yousuf, GH Hassan Haqnawaz, Dilshad Mustafa, Assadullah Safvi, Abid Ubaid and Mohmmad Shoaib besides others.
