Lithium facilitates adoption of electric vehicles at WaveRock SEZ
Hyderabad: Lithium Urban Technologies India’s largest zero emission corporate transport service, has partnered with WaveRock, one of Hyderabad’s premium SEZ business parks owned by Shapoorji Pallonji Investment Advisors, to set up charging stations and deploy its EV fleet, enabling 100% green commuting for nearly 24,000 employees. This exclusive partnership makes Lithium the only fleet service provider on the campus.
Currently used by companies like Birlasoft and Corteva, the service will be extended to other companies within the premises in future. The setup includes both fast (30 kW) and slow (3.3 kW) chargers available to Lithium’s fleets, with provision for charging employees’ private vehicles.

Excited about the partnership with Lithium, a representative from Corteva Global Services Center (CGSC), said, “Corteva has always been committed to sustainability and environmental protection. Therefore, moving our employee transport to EVs is a crucial move for us. It will help us in reducing our carbon footprint due to zero tailpipe emissions, and reduced fuel usage.”

As the country ramps up its efforts towards promoting sustainability, electric vehicles have gained prominence. With approximately 7,000,00 corporate transport users, Hyderabad is estimated to require around 300,000 fast chargers, presuming a 30% EV penetration, by 2030. Being one of the fastest growing IT cities in India, Hyderabad was one of the ideal locations for Lithium to expand its national footprint.
