Lockdown extended in Samba, Bari-Brahmana, Vijaypur and Ghagwal up to 4 August

Samba: In view of the latest covid 19 cases spur, District Magistrate Samba, Rohit Khajuria, today order the extension of lockdown in tehsil Samba, Bari Brahamana, Vijaypur and Ghagwal up to August 4, 2020, till 5 AM.
As per an order issued by the DM, the restrictions have been extended in continuation to the order No. DMS/Misc/2020-21/Covid-19/3744-55, dated: 25-07-2020, whereby restrictions were imposed under Section 34 of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and 144 of Cr.P.C, up to 30-07-2020 till 5 AM in Tehsil Samba, Ghagwal, Bad Brahmana and Vijaypur with certain exceptions pertaining to essential services.
However, as per the order, the non-essential commodity shops in District Samba shall remain open on 30-07-2020 from 09.00 AM to 05.00 PM and all other relaxations issued in the previous order regarding essential services and timing shall remain the same.
“Further, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it is hereby ordered that the lockdown period shall be extended in Tehsil Samba, Ghagwal, Vijaypur and Bari Brahmana from 31-07-2020 to 04-08-2020 till 5 AM,” the order stated.
It further stated that “The essential services i.e. Doctor Clinics, Chemist shops, Homeopathy shops, Ayurvedic shops and Testing Laboratories will remain open from 9 AM to 8 PM. Grocery shops, Milk shops, Bakery shops, Fruit & Vegetable shops will open from 7 AM to 12 Noon. And Retail / wholesale licensed shops of Pesticides, Fungicides & Fertilizer, Fair price shops of Ration, LPG Agencies, K.Oil shops and Animal Fodder shops will remain open from 9 AM to 1 PM. The operation in the Industrial area and movement of Labour / staff of Industries and Government employees will remain unhindered.”
The order directed that “All the shopkeepers shall ensure that social distancing is maintained during this time slot and all the instructions issued by the District Administration from time to time are followed in letter and spirit.”
District Administration has strictly warmed that any body found violating the order will be dealt firmly.
