Loughborough Squash Commits to Nurturing Future Talent, Vowing Support for the Next Generation

Loughborough University’s Squash programme has pledged to support the next generation of sporting talent by offering bespoke training to junior players for the 2023/34 season.

The successful players – one male and one female – will receive coaching, training, and performance support at the university, enabling the juniors to achieve their sporting squash dreams.

Each of the junior squash players will receive access to professional 1-2-1 coaching and additional performance support services, including physiotherapy, strength and conditioning and sports nutrition advice.

They will also have access to Loughborough Performance squad group sessions and may benefit from the latest Performance Analysis technology. They will also be kitted out with the latest Loughborough Sport apparel.

Dan McGinn, Head Coach at Loughborough Squash, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to offer this unique opportunity to two aspiring squash athletes.

“Loughborough has a long and well-earned tradition of providing young people with the ideal environment to develop into top athletes and people and this is another example of our dedication in this area.

“By offering these places we hope to harness the skills of talented young squash athletes and provide them with the best possible platform to progress and flourish in the sport.”
