For the current round of bids, the University is aligning the fund with the core themes of the new University strategy. Applications will be particularly welcome for projects that link to health and wellbeing, climate change or sustainability or vibrant/inclusive communities.
Chief Operating Officer, Richard Taylor is chair of the awarding committee for 2023. He commented:
“I am delighted that we are now able to call for bids to the University’s Community Donations Fund. We have been operating the fund since 2009 and over £500,000 has been donated to a diverse range of projects and activities.
“The University’s current strategy places great emphasis on the role that Loughborough can play in tackling some of the biggest challenges that society faces today. We have chosen to reflect these themes in our fund this year and this will give us the opportunity to support charities and other organisations who we know are doing important work to address the same challenges in the communities close to our campuses.”
