Lovely Professional University signs MoU with Massachusetts based Pegasystems

Jalandhar: Lovely Professional University (LPU) today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pegasystems, a US based leader in software for digital transformation, to join its University Academic Program. Under the program, Pega Academy will provide online resources, classroom training and certification to LPU’s Computer Science students, enabling them to master its platform for application development across domains like Digital Process Automation, Real Time Decisioning and Robotics.

The demand for trained and certified Pega professionals in India is at an all-time high today. Pegasystems is a global leader in technologies like Digital Process Automation, CRM, Case Management, Real-Time Decisioning and Robotic Automation. Enterprises across sectors like BFSI, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Manufacturing are increasingly opting for Pega’s platform for application development. The company counts JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Cisco and Philips among their enterprise customers. It has also partnered with all major IT outsourcing companies, including Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Accenture and Cognizant.

Under the MoU, students at LPU can opt for Pega courses across industries like Communication, Energy, Financial Services, Life Sciences and Insurance. Upon completion of the course of study, students can achieve a professional certification which is highly sought after in the industry today.

There are about 25,000 Pega developers in the world and 75% of those are in India. Further, it is expected to grow by 75,000 in the next 3-5 years,” says Suman Reddy, Managing Director of Pegasystems India. “In future, many companies will require certified Pega System integrator and our collaboration with LPU will definitely prepare skilled professionals to meet their expectation,” further he adds.

With this MoU, LPU joins the list of select few universities across America, Europe and APAC who have partnered with Pegasystems for their University Academic Program. Apart from this, LPU has many academic and industrial tie-ups with top global companies. It boasts of on-campus ‘Centers of Excellence’ by companies like Google, Microsoft, SAP Labs, Tech Mahindra, Oracle, Intel, Dell EMC2, CISCO, Cadence, Texas Instruments, Bentley Institute and Lupin Pharmaceuticals. LPU students work on real-life projects in these industry-sponsored labs.
