LPU Chancellor invoked Staff Members to create Olympians, Nobel Laureates, Researchers, CEOs
· Also inspired staff members to work unflinchingly in getting LPU included in top 200 universities of the world by the year 2025
· Occasion was conclusive day of 16th Annual Conference ‘Share the Vision-2017’ with 3500+ staff members’ substantial participation
· Theme this year was “Outcome & Empowerment”
· Many of the university employees were also honoured with 15, 10 & 5 Years’ Association Awards for their long services with the university
Jalandhar: Lovely Professional University organized its two-day 16th annual conference ‘Share the Vision-2017’, where more than 3500 faculty and staff members made substantial participation. The theme of annual conference celebrated this year was “Outcome & Empowerment”. On this occasion, near 400 LPU employees, who have been providing their services since long, were also honoured with association awards amid the presence of their family and staff members. Twelve staff members have been awarded for 15 years’ association; 120 for 10 years; and, 267 for 5 years’ devoted association.
Invoking all of the faculty and staff members to keep on performing better than yesterday, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal and Pro-Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal inspired them to achieve “measurable outcomes” as recognized by national and international agencies. Sharing various achievements made in diverse fields be it academics, research, placements, accreditations, rankings & awards, scientific & technological competitions, sports & cultural activities; both of them inspired all to perform better than yesterday to let LPU realize its ‘Vision-2025’ to get included in top 200 universities of the world. Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said to all: “There should be a positive outcome, small or large, in whatever we do. Real goal of us all is to provide to the nation and the world the Olympians, Nobel-Laureates, CEOs, Researchers, and Maestros of their related fields. I want all of you to be a contributory part in realization of this. ”
LPU staff members those completed 15 years’ service this year (that is, who have been serving LPU since 2002), include Associate Registrar Dr Manish Gupta; Associate Professor & Assistant Registrar Dr Rajesh Kumar Gupta; Associate Prof & Additional Dean Dr Rajeev Sobti; Associate Professor & Additional Dean Dr Puneet Sikand; Associate Prof & Deputy Dean Dr Sunaina Ahuja; Assistant Professor R K Sharma; Officer Hemant Kumar Jyoti; Web Developer Daljit Singh; Designer Mukesh Kumar; Superintendent Gopal Krishan; Librarian Rashpal Singh; and, Assistant Ved Prakash. The family members of these awardees were also specially invited.
On the inaugural day of the conference, holding hands of one another, staff members also went for 5 kilometers long ‘Unity Walk’ along with the senior team of the university to showcase strength of oneness. In addition, various cultural & sports events, fashion show, and fun based activities were also organized.
