LPU Mechanical Student ranked amongst ‘Top 33 Brightest Engineers of India’

Jalandhar: Mechanical student of LPU, Arjan Ghosh has been ranked amongst ‘Top 33 Brightest Engineers of India’, declared at the ‘ET Campus Stars 2017-18’. Competing with 2,50,000+ applicants countrywide, he feels elated for being one of the top engineers. He left many students from IITs, NITs, DTU and more far behind.

Arjan Ghosh, who hails from Kolkata, shares: “I feel proud on getting such a prestigious recognition. In fact, it is still hard for me to believe that I am now one of the ‘Top 33 Brightest Engineers of India’. These are indeed the moments of great pride for me. I always wanted to make my parents and institution proud of myself and this opportunity has added great luster to my profile. As a mechanical student, getting such a big-break at an early stage of my career inspires me to dream big.”

Explaining his journey, he said, “The first round was related to general questions but the standard of competition increased at further stages. I also cleared the second stage as my theoretical concepts were all clear. The third stage was the most difficult stage where we needed to find answers to the questions within the team without conversing and the last stage was with four sub stages.”

He further added, “I have also been invited for Youth Energy BRICS Summit to be held in Russia where I will be delivering a presentation and speech on the energetic youth. Being part of such a prestigious summit is not less than a miracle to me. I thank LPU for providing me all the facilities and support which eventually lead to my winning moment at ET Campus Stars 2018.”

Prior to all his achievements, Arjan successfully secured 100 national percentile in Mechanical Engineering with score of 835 out of 900 at AMCAT 2018. He also secured All India 11th Rank in Indian Engineering Olympiad 2018, and was amongst the top 2% at National Aptitude Challenge 2017. Apart from being a social activist, he is also an active NSS volunteer.

Congratulating the hard-working mechanical student, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal informed: “Experiential learning is the most conspicuous part of engineering at LPU. Our students excel in all the competitions because they have strong theoretical as well practical knowledge and are confident to face any competition. Prior to Arjan’s prestigious selection, many other students have also shown sparks of their intelligence and even got international scholarships to advance their knowledge in the field of their expertise.”
