New Delhi :  Lycée Français International de Delhi, known for prioritizing the acquisition of language, critical thinking skills, and the development of confident, independent learners declared their diploma results for the batch of 2021. The students have outdone themselves with a 100% success in the French Baccalauréat.

LFID is a part of network of schools under the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE). The school has recorded impressive performances by the students. Out of all students enrolled for the Diploma Programme from over 40 countries, 75% of students graduated with distinction.

The AEFE network welcomes students of more than 80 nationalities and guarantees them access to excellent education throughout the world; 60% of them are foreigners and 70% choose France to pursue their studies.

On the outstanding performance by the students, Nicolas Sieger, Headmaster of Lycée Français International de Delhi commented, “We are incredibly proud of our students who reached this milestone even after these unprecedented times. Our school has a resolute objective to focus on learning languages, excellent exam results and openness to the Indian culture. It’s inspiring to see that despite the difficulties brought on by the pandemic, our students remained resilient and achieved extraordinary success.’’

The French Baccalauréat certificate is now equivalent to the school leaving examination certificate issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or other secondary, intermediate and pre-university educational establishments recognized by the Republic of India. This enables students to advance their studies in both French and Indian educational systems. The French Baccalaureate also makes students eligible for advanced standing credit at universities in Canada and the United States. Depending on the chosen field of study, students may receive up to 3 credits, which are equivalent to 6 courses or an entire semester of full-time study. Additionally, high scorers in the French Baccalaureate are eligible for scholarships at leading universities in France, UK, Canada, and North America, enabling cosmopolitan education and a world-class exposure.

Over the years, alumni of the Lycée Français International de Delhi have been placed in leading universities around the world, such as France, United States, Great Britain, Canada, among others.

The attractiveness of the French system is explained by: the richness and diversity of the French educational offer, combined with the possibility of equivalences between courses, make it possible to build a pathway adapted to the evolution of a study project.

The French state directly covers a very large part of the actual cost of each student’s studies (10,000 to 15,000 euros per year per student). This national system makes it possible to maintain the cost of tuition fees at one of the lowest levels in the world, to guarantee equivalence between diplomas in the country and to ensure their recognition at the international level.
