Madhya Pradesh: 4269 constables to be recruited in Police department
Bhopal : The Minister for Home Dr. Narottam Mishra has said that 4269 constable will be recruited in Police department shortly. He directed Director General of Police Shri Vivek Johri to initiate recruitment process of police constable at the earliest. Dr. Mishra asked to present a proposal as regard to construction of Police hospitals on the lines of Army hospital.
The Minister for Home Dr. Mishra was reviewing the activities of the department at Police Headquarters on Friday. He said that officers should work with full alertness and promptness to maintain law and order in the state. The Cyber Crime Technology should be upgraded and social media cell be strengthened. He further mentioned that the vacant posts of constables in the department should be filled soon and the promotion process of departmental officers be initiated as per the rules.
Called for file and gave approval in meeting
Home Minister Dr. Mishra granted approval after calling the file of vacant posts of constables from Mantralaya. Constable recruitment process in police department was on hold for the last 3 years. 4269 constables are to be recruited under recruitment process.
Proposal to construct hospital under PPP Mode
Expressing concern over the medical treatment of the police personnel, Dr. Mishra instructed to prepare a proposal for construction of fully equipped modern police hospital under the PPP mode. He stated that from constable level to Home Minister and DGP would be able to get treatment in the police hospital like Army hospital. Dr. Mishra further mentioned that full help will be rendered in whatever is required at senior level for the construction of police hospital. With the construction of hospital, the employees of the police department will get medical facilities with ease.
Upgrade Cyber Crime Controlling Technique
Minister Dr. Mishra stressed the need for upgradation of cyber crime controlling technique further in order to tackle changing methods of crime. He directed to prepare a necessary proposal to strengthen cyber crime controlling technique and social media cell. Dr. Mishra mentioned that he should be apprised of the progress, if the process is underway since earlier. He stated that together with the DGP, necessary budgetary provision for police modernization should be discussed with the Finance department.
In the meeting, the Home Minister Dr. Mishra gave approval in principle to necessary budgetary approval for shifting of Headquarters of Central Industrial Security Force from Singrauli to Bhopal, Firing range of Bhopal to new Firing range of Balampur and to initiate action for obtaining approval from the Ministry for Home as regard to increase in police force in the state. Those of who were present at the review meeting include Special Director General of Police Shri Vijay Yadav, Additional Director General of Police Shri Ajay Sharma, Shri Ashok Awasthi, Shri Anvesh Mangalam and other senior officers of the police department.
