Madhya Pradesh: Admission in next class to be given to examinees of UG-First, Second year and PG second semester

Bhopal : In wake of corona crisis, the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken a major decision in the interest of students of higher education and collegiate students of technical education. Now, examinees of under-graduate first year as well as second year and PG second semester will be given admission without examination in the next class/semester on the basis of the last year/semester marks/internal evaluation. Along with this, the examination result will be declared by accepting the maximum marks obtained in the past years/semesters of the examinees of under-graduate final year and PG 4th semester. Such examinees, who wish to appear in the examinations to improve their results, they will also have an option to write examinations. They can write offline examinations on the next declared date.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was holding a meeting at Mantralaya related to conducting university examinations and opening of schools in the context of Corona. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Higher Education Shri Anupam Rajan, Principal Secretary School Education Smt. Rashmi Arun Shami were present at the meeting.

Decision on opening of schools after review on July 31

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a decision will be taken regarding opening of schools in the state after review on July 31. Class XII th examinations will be held again for those students who have not been able to appear in the examination due to some reason. Principal Secretary School Education informed that arrangements are being made to distribute books to children from next week.

17 lakh 77 thousand under graduate, post-graduate examinees in state

There are a total of 17 lakh 77 thousand examinees at the under-graduate and postgraduate levels in the current academic session in the state. Among them, 5 lakh 25 thousand 200 are in first year of bachelor degree, 5 lakh 7 thousand 269 in second year of graduation, 4 lakh 30 thousand 298 in third year graduation, one lakh 72 thousand 634 in post-graduation second semester and one lakh 41 thousand 599 in post-graduation fourth semester. Total number of examinees in Barkatullah University is 3 lakh 47 thousand 554, 2 lakh 63 thousand 5 in Jiwaji University Gwalior, one lakh 83 thousand 37 in Vikram University Ujjain, 2 lakh 25 thousand 197 in Rani Durgavati University Jabalpur, one lakh 52 thousand 230 in Maharaja Chhatrasal University Chhatarpur, 3 lakh 55 thousand 379 students in Devi Ahilya Bai University, one lakh 97 thousand 901 in Awadhesh Pratap Singh University Rewa and 54 thousand 697 students in Chhindwara University.

Results of Class Xth and XIIth expected in July

Principal Secretary School Education informed that the Class Xth and XIIth Board examinations have been concluded in the state, Class Xth results are expected in the first week of July and the result of Class XIIth is expected in the third week of July. Academic activities are being conducted through mobile, radio and T.V in the state during lockdown period.
