Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan calls on Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan called on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at his residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi on Monday. This was his first meeting with the Prime Minister after assuming office of Chief Minister in March, 2020. In the meeting, he informed the Prime Minister Shri Modi about the state governments’ efforts, made to tackle COVID-19 and difficulties related to it. He also informed him in detail about the global pandemic related issues like employment of migrant labourers and boosting state economy etc. during the lockdown.

In a meeting which lasted about half an hour, Shri Chouhan presented him with two booklets – ‘Ummeed’ and ‘Madhya Pradesh – Vikas Ke Liye Pratibaddh Prayas’ published by the state government. The booklet ‘Ummeed’ is a detailed account of well planned and sensitive initiatives taken by the state government for the migrant labourers. The second booklet ‘Madhya Pradesh-Vikas Ke Liye Pratibaddh Prayas’ has detailed account of various initiatives taken by state government in 100 days under the leadership of the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. This booklet highlights the steps taken to overcome corona pandemic and strengthening economy of the state through various reforms and innovations in this period.

The Prime Minister Shri Modi while appreciating the efforts of the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, assured him of all possible assistance from the central government in the fight against covid-19 pandemic.
