Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan honours 2 women members of Gram Van Samiti on World Environment Day
Bhopal : On the occasion of the World Environment Day, the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan honoured 2 women members of Gram Van Samiti- Maneri for their remarkable work to transform barren hills into lush hills. Shri Chouhan announced to give them Samman Nidhi of Rs. 25 thousand each to these members.
Where there is a will there is a way
Shri Chouhan during the interaction through video conferencing with Smt. Kallo Bai and Shalini said that these two members have proved by their work that where there is a will there is a way. Both have accomplished a very difficult task. They took care of the alive tree stumps in the jungle and transformed the entire area into a dense teak wood jungle.
Smt. Kallo Bai and Shalini, who are playing an active role in protecting forests since the last 13 years expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and said that this day will always be a memorable day in their life. We never thought that the work being carried out by us will be taken seriously by the Chief Minister. We are overwhelmed with joy after meeting the Chief Minister for the first time. They mentioned that Forest alone is their life and have developed a habit of conserving forests for the future generations. We know that forests not only improve the environment but is also a mean of sustenance for many families.
