Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan outlines next lockdown
Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that on one hand we have to break the chain of corona infection, heal the affected patients as soon as possible, while on the other hand we have to start economic activities and bring people’s lives to normal. The state governments have been asked by the Union government to prepare an outline for the next lockdown and send it by May 15. The states should themselves decide what kind of arrangement they want. According to our planning, lockdown will be maintained to prevent corona infection, but in different form. Night curfew should continue. All activities should continue in the green zone and activities should continue except in the infected areas in the orange zone. Similarly, in red zone activities can continue except in the infected areas and buffer zone.
Nobody will sleep empty stomach and move on foot to reach destination
Shri Chouhan said that the work of repatriating migrant labourers to the state is in full swing. As many as 31 trains carrying labourers have reached the state, 9 trains will arrive today and more trains will keep coming ferrying labourers. At the same time, labourers from other states are also returning to their states. We have made such an arrangement in the state that no labourer sleeps empty stomach and move on foot to reach his/her destination. The labourers of other states are being dropped at the state border by buses. For this 375 buses have been put in service.
Team India will achieve victory over corona soon
Shri Chouhan said that the Team India under the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will soon achieve victory over Corona. The strategy to handle corona is being formulated and implemented by the team of the Prime Minister by constantly discussing and coordinating with every State/Union Territory. The Prime Minister Shri Modi held discussions with the Chief Ministers for the fifth time yesterday.
Have to develop a habit to live with corona
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the corona crisis may go on for some more time. Therefore, we have to get in the habit of living with Corona. On one hand the infection of corona has to be stopped by adopting a habit of a distance of two yard, use of mask and taking full precautions, while on the other economic activities have to be continued.
Necessary to increase immunity
Shri Chouhan said that we have to increase our immunity for protection from corona. It can be enhanced by the use of Ayurvedic medicines. About One crore 75 lakh packets of a special Ayurvedic Kadha (Syrup) Trikatu have been distributed among the people in the state. Apart from this, people are being made conscious against corona in every village by our Aanganwadi workers, ANM, Patwaris, Panchayat Secretaries etc.
Reeling under financial crisis but will face the challenge
Shri Chouhan said that at present both the Central Government and State are reeling under financial crisis. Despite this, the Union Government has sent an amount of Rs. 661 crore towards MNREGA and Rs. 910 crore of NDRF, which is a great help to the state. The Union government is paying 85 percent of the expenses of the trains being run for the repatriation of the labourers. We have started various types of construction work in the state including MGNREGA and have provided employment to a large number of labourers. Besides, small, cottage and village industries are being promoted.
One register, one return, single window
The Chief Minister said that we have made wide changes in the labour laws keeping in view the interests of our labourers and have given various facilities to the industries. Now instead of different types of registers, factories will get facility to keep one register, file one return and facility of single window. These reforms will help in attracting industries in Madhya Pradesh
Constant decline in number of active patients
Shri Chouhan said that the number of active patients of Corona in the state is continuously declining. Patients in great number are getting healthy and going home than the number of positive patients being found in the state. The number of active patients in the state is between 1700 and 1800. Arrangement of 35 thousand beds has been made in Covid hospitals of the state, which is being increased to 85 thousand. The situation in the state is under control, he added.
