Madhya Pradesh CM said that appropriate steps would be taken to benefit and strengthen MSME industries for self-reliance
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that appropriate steps would be taken to benefit and strengthen micro, small and medium industries for self-reliance of India and Madhya Pradesh. The state government will implement the new provisions made by Government of India, in the context of Madhya Pradesh and suitable relief will also be provided at state level to these units.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan discussed the likely benefits to MSME sector and the workers engaged in them at a meeting at Mantralaya today. He directed the MSME department to draw up a strategy to offer benefits to the MSME units in the state.
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to ensure benefits to the small and medium scale industries as per the provisions made by the central government. He said that a draft should be prepared after brainstorming to strengthen and prosper MSME sector at state level.
CS Shri Iqbal Singh Bains said that today greater opportunities were provided to MSME sector and maximum benefit of them should be ensured. The meeting was attended among others by ACS Finance, Shri Anurg Jain; CM’s Principal Secretary Shri Manish Rastogi, Principal Secretary, MSME Smt. Deepali Rastogi, Secretary, Institutional Finance Shri Amit Rathore, MD laghu Udyog Nigam Shri Iaiya Raja T. and CM’s Secretary Shri M. Selvendram.
Food grain for Migrant Labourers
At another meeting the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed that the migrant labourers should be provided food grain without ration cards. He said that the poor families having no ration card or any other identity cards should also be provided food grain. They should also be engaged in MNREGA works as per requirement. Food grain for two months would be a great relief to the families of labourers in the Corona crisis. Arrangements will be made to carry out suitable MANREGA works even during monsoon season. Discussion with Government of India will be held for increase in MANREGA budget for this purpose. Other appropriate steps will be taken to augment employment opportunities for labourers and to provide maximum relief to them, he added.
