Madhya Pradesh CM says One lakh beds to be arranged for COVID
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the health infrastructure and services should be further improved to provide better health services to the people. At present 35 thousand beds have been arranged exclusively for Corona patients. This is sufficient in present situation. However, the number should be increased to one lakh. It should be ensured that the Chief Medical and Health Officers posted in districts provide efficient services.
Shri Chouhan undertook a review of Corona situation and arrangements through videoconferencing at Mantralaya today. Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, CS Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Shri Vivek Johari and ACS Health Shri Mohammad Suleman attended the meeting.
Now Patients May be Discharged in 11 days
The meeting was informed that now as per the new guidelines of, the patients testing Corona negative can be discharged in 11 days instead of 14 days.
Infected Areas to be Totally Sealed
During the review of Neemuch district, the Chief Minister directed that infected areas should be totally sealed. Total contract tracing of the infected patients should be done.
132 Discharged in Ujjain
During the review of Ujjain district, it was informed that the situation has improved there. Today 132 patients returned to their homes after recovery. The number of infected persons has reduced to 87. The arrangements at RD Gardi hospital have been improved. Covid hospital will start at the Trauma Centre in 3-4 days. CM expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.
First Case Reported, Be Fully Alert
While reviewing the situation in Sidhi district, the Chief Minister said that first Corona case has been reported there. All precautions should be taken to check its further spread. Contract tracing of the patients be done and all should be tested. He directed for regular meetings of crisis management group in Morena district. There is no infected person in Agar-Malva now.
3467 Tests in 14 Labs
ACS Health Shri Mohammad Suleman informed that 3467 tests were conducted in 14 labs in the state. Besides, 1379 tests were conducted in the labs outside the state. Thus , total 4846 tests were performed. Shortly 20 testing labs will be functional in the state.
Demand for 71 Trains Sent, Demand for 15 More being Sent
ACS Shri ICP Kesari informed that so far 2.34 lakh migrant workers have returned to Madhya Pradesh. Demand for 71 trains has been sent to the Railways Ministry and demand for another 15 trains is being sent.
Vehicles for Walkers
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that vehicles are being provided to the workers moving on foot in different districts. Arrangements of food have been made for all of them.
Trains for Students Also
Shri Chouhan directed to make arrangements to send students to their destinations as for as possible. E-Pass arrangements should be efficient for the stranded people to move from one place to another.
No Crowding at Procurement Centres
The Chief Minister directed that there should be no crowding at the procurement centres and if needed sub centres may be set up. Principal Secretary Shri Shivshekhar Shukla informed that so far 71.50 lakh MT wheat has been procured on MSP and of this 60 lakh MT has been transported. A sum of Rs. 7,400 crore has been paid to 7.05 lakh farmers. Principal Secretary Agriculture Shri Ajit Kesari informed that procurement of gram, Masoor and mustard is also in progress
