Bhopal : Inaugurating the Rashtriya Balrang Mahotsav at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya, the Governor Shri Lalji Tandon said that school students should be connected with creative activities. Efforts should be made in developing healthy mindset in children since childhood. The Governor further mentioned that our country has unique traditions of dance, singing, painting, food variety, bhajan, sufi-qawwali etc. We got an opportunity to feel all these together in the Balrang programme, he added.
Informing about the Mahotsav, the Principal Secretary School Education Smt. Rashmi Arun Shami said that the Balrang Mahotsav has been given an inter-state form. School children of 13 states are participating in this event.
In the Mahotsav, exhibitions on subject like ‘Laghu Bharat aur Samarth Bharat’ have been put up by the children. Food, culture, folk-art and craft of different states have been displayed in Laghu Bharat exhibition. A glimpse of country’s progress has been exhibited in Samarth Bharat exhibition.
The Commissioner Public Instruction Smt. Jaishree Kiyawat proposed the vote of thanks. The Director Rajya Shiksha Kendra Smt. Irene Cynthia and Superintendent of Indira Gandhi Manav Sanghralaya Shri D.S. Rao were also present on this occasion. An attractive march-past was conducted by the children at the beginning of the programme.
