Madhya Pradesh Home Guard Jawans to get regular honorarium: Minister Dr. Mishra

Bhopal : The Minister for Home, Public Health and Family Welfare Dr. Narottam Mishra said that Home Guard Jawans have accomplished commendable work during the corona crisis. In view of their excellent works and services, a proposal for extension of their service period by six months has been approved by the government. Dr. Mishra further stated that regular honorarium will be paid every month to the jawans of Home Guard. This was said by Dr. Mishra in his address during the dedication event of newly constructed Officers Mess at SDERF Headquarters today.

Dr. Mishra inspected the preparedness of the SDERF and Home Guard as regard to rescue and relief activities during the possibilities of disasters in monsoon. He also observed the exhibition of the most modern rescue equipments, used during disaster and flood relief work etc. A demonstration of activities carried out by jawans during flood and other calamities for civil protection was given before the Minister Dr. Mishra. Under the leadership of Motor Boat Platoon Commander Shri Chetan Kannuaji, a platoon comprising 3 boats gave salute to the Minister Dr. Mishra at lower lake.

Civil Defense Volunteers honoured

The Minister Dr. Mishra also honoured 30 civil defense volunteers for their remarkable works done with full devotion during the corona crisis. He said that they are not volunteers, they are Corona warriors. All have done excellent work in this hour of crisis to protect lives. Dr. Mishra presented track suits to all the honoured volunteers.

The Director General of Home Guard Shri Ashok Dohare, ADG SDERF Shri D.C. Sagar, District Commandant Shri Santosh Jat and other Senior Officers were present on the occasion.
