Madhya Pradesh is at 15th position now, which once ranked 2nd in number of Corona active and positive patients

Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed all District Collectors that besides check ups of corona positive patients under the door to door survey in the ‘Kill Corona’ Campaign, they should also ensure treatment of patients suffering from malaria and other diseases. Maximum sampling should also be ensured in each district. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan further stated that it is sure that number of positive cases will increase because of the survey, but necessary tretament should be given to each patient. Sampling work at large scale should be done in each district under the Kill Corona campaign and attention should be paid on the aspect of public sanitation and social distancing. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reveiwing the status of corona in the state through video conference at Mantralaya.

Kill Corona Update

It was informed in the meeting that citizens are also cooperating in the Kill Corona Campaign. 1776 survey teams in urban areas and 8975 survey teams in rural areas conducted survey in the state on Saturday. In a period of 4 days, 399 cases of malaria have also come to the fore in the state. Treatment is being given to all. About 6000 samples have been taken under the campaign on Friday. So far, 10 thousand 477 samples have been taken under the campaign. Population of 61 lakh 54 thousand have been covered under the survey on Saturday. The health survey of total one crore 85 lakh people has been conducted in the state under the campaign. The Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains and DGP Shri Vivek Johri were present at the review meeting. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the work of first contact tracing of positive patients should be done with utmost seriousness. This will help in eliminating the fear of spread of virus in community anywhere.

It was informed in the meeting that in the begining, Madhya Pradesh was at second position in the country in terms of active cases. Intensive efforts have improved the situation to such a great extent that Madhya Pradesh is now at 15th position in the country. In view of this, situation in Madhya Pradesh has improved a lot. Previously, Madhya Pradesh was at second, third and fourth place. Quick identification of positive cases under the ongoing Kill Corona campaign in the state is helping in fast recovery of patients because of timely treatment.

Separate review of Sagar, Tikamgarh and Panna

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan held separate review of Sagar, Tikamgarh and Panna district. During the review of Sagar district, it was informed that 24 fever clinics are functioning in the district. There are total 76 containment areas covering about 28 thousand population. Total 368 survey teams are working in the district, about 6 thousand people have been placed under home quarantine and 123 people under institutional quarantine. At present, the number of active cases is 90 in the district and all patients are recovering fast. Only 20 percent of the available bed capacity is being utilised. Panna district has 21 containment areas. Total 150 survey teams are working and about one thousand 500 people have been quarantined. As many as 8 fever clinics are operational in the district and 278 people have been identified under the first contact tracing. Out of 457 samples taken in the fever clinics, 11 have been found positive. Moreover, in the review of Tikamgarh district, it was informed that 20 positive case have come to fore last week. Ten containment areas are covering about 4 thousand population. 193 survey teams are working in the district and about one hundred fifty people have been quarantined. Six fever clinics are functioning in Tikamgarh district.
